steering wheel problem

whats up everyone i just replace my torn up steering wheel with a new and now my steering wheel will not lock, also ive noticed when i move the steering wheel side to side i can hear and feel a clicking noise, i dint do this before i removed the steering wheel, wanted to know if i did something, wanting to get some info on people who have removed their steering wheel before thanks.

Turned the car off and got the wheel yo lock by turning really hard to the right. But theres this click noise still took the wheel off again to inspect but cant see nothing wrong :$

anyone know how the steering wheel lock works? i have a feeling the lock mechanism has move out of place. is part of the ignition switch or something totally different?

Check the FSM and make sure you tighten everything and everything is lined up

Triple checed i think maybe the ignition switch mi have came loose
