So..... all this talk about reprogramming ecu when updating mafs,02's etc..... i can say that i went and replaced my maf sensor... decided to go ahead and get the update.... brought it in to nissan.... sat around for an hour... watch them pull it into a stall... the guy grabbed consult... hooked it up... spent five minutes... and pulled it out...... thats strange..... so the advisor comes up to me and tells me apparently.... i have the latest update... it was done right befor i bought the vehicle..... he said it was done when the 02 sensor was.done.... so......... lol im oddly co.fused now... all the people on here who have had 02's replaced and ecu reflashex... and down the road have to replace the maf sensors..... that means either A the nissan dealers are robbing half the people on this site cuz they prob already have there upgrade done or..... maybe the reprogam wasnt done correctly the first time... which again.. there robbing people.... on another note... this. shoukd be proof that the upgrade is.in fact not nessecary cuz i had an old maf in my car with the newer software...... wouldnt that be simular to to having a new maf with the old software ????

when you change the maf it should come with a yellow paper that you are supposed to give the dealer. it is a special upgrade that is not under the regular model lookup. its all right there in the paper.

This is useless to me...... and lots of other people who dont buy there mafs from nissan or crapEBAY i got mine from my buddy so....... no yellow paper lol also have bought a new maf in the box 2 years ago.. there was no yellow paper or any info for that matter.. what ever it states does not imply to everyone who purchases a maf sensor.... lol do a search and see...... half the people who are replacing there mafs ask......"do i really need to reprogram my maf?????.... im just sayin its not important, maybe just a reset(disconnecting the batt and pumping the breaks a few times and reconnect after an hour) i still think djfagnuts is a goof who was victomized in school and apparently makes himself feel better by raggin on peoples posts.... this site is useless ....................! Yall *****es smell like trout im out!

Lol if you don't like complaining then don't join a forum. However when we aren't complaining then we are telling people like you how to fix your car. Ive never heard of "reflashing" your ECU just like i've never heard of taking your engine out to change your oil either....If your going to be rude then please leave. This is a friendly forum with good information and helpful people if you ask reasonable questions after doing your own research and thats why I joined.
