I drive an 03 Infiniti I35 and recently my a/t light would blink eight times and turn off. However, this issue does not happen all the time. I went to autozone and they did not pull any codes that was related to transmission troubles. My CEL light is on due to an o2 sensor that needs to be replaced. The I35 does not shift hard or does not hesitate. The car drives really smooth and the transmission oil was recently changed a week ago with mobil 1 atf. Does anyone know what the issue with my car may be. Thanks

 

There's a diagnostic procedure in the FSM its also a sticky i believe of how to get the code for the O/D blink (which is what I think you mean by a/t light) could be a simple as a sensor on the tranny. my suggestion is to just search for that thread with the procedure and start there.
