Doubt with 300ZX calipers

Well, after a short search I found a set of 300ZX TT (Z32) 30mm calipers but before I make a deal my main concern it's that I got the 17 Inch wheels and I don't know if them got the enough offset for fitting. Also I can get the stock rotors of the 300ZX TT

One of my friends told me that I can use spacers but I don't know the size of the spacers or if I'll need another wheels.

Any suggestions, advices or anything?! Thanks!

See how much room you have left with the stock set up and then get the measurements for the new caliper. Spacers come in certain sizes so If you know how big a spacer you will need then get a little larger than that. Fairly simple as long as you know how much space you need

Damn those have to be some big calipers then. In reality if you put some high quality slotted rotors on the front, high quality pads and braided steel lines you would be happy with the new breaking capabilities of you car.

The clearance between the stock caliper and the wheel it's about 1.7 Cms.

I searched for that write ups but I didn't find one that talk about this calipers and the stock 17 inch wheels. The only closest information it's about using spacers but using aftermarket wheels, not stock wheels.

The calipers are from a 300ZX TT and comes with the rotors to. I'll need custom brackets for them.

They would certainly fit with aftermarket wheels with a larger offset. I guess with the stocks they wont though. For the price of new wheels you could get some really nice upgraded components like I said.

Ok, after some research I made the decision of doesn't choose the 300ZX brakes, why?

- Stock 17 inch wheels doesn't fit.
- I'll need to buy new rims.
- I'll need custom brackets for the calipers.

Plan B
- I can use the 6th gen BBK, cheaper option, it's a direct fit and it will work with the stock 17 inch wheels.

Thanks everyone for helping me.

....well, you need to do better research. I'll give you a B for effort thou.

You dont need brackets for 300ZX brakes if you are using 300ZX rotors, if you are using the 13.1" cobra or the 12.6" 6th gen or the 12.9" Z33 track rotors then you need the relocation brackets. Write ups are all over the place because the 240s do the exact same thing we do. All the mounting locations and spacing is the same between most of the 80/90s nissans.

Another correction to plan b unless im mistaken. The 5th gen wheels wont fit over the 6gen brakes. But the 5.5 gen wheels will.

If you decide to go with the 6th gen brakes, I will buy the 300zx stuff off of you.
