Ummm no you need to check for TRIGGER power at the relay my good friend!! There will be battery power at one terminal, and once the trigger wire is energized the power flows through the relay. There should be no power out unless it's triggered.

This trigger can be a ground as well, but I doubt it's set up that way on your ECM relay, so check for trigger power before going anywhere else and post back k!

Ok well I guess last night I didn't plug in the harness all the way into the ecu after installing the relay because today after work I removed the plastic around the ecu harness, so I can check voltages at the pins, and plugged it in. Connected the battery and the b!tch fired right up, it misfired for a while, I turned it off since it seemed to be flooding. Waited a minute it fired back up and drove around for 10 mins with no problems other then running rich of course.

Tuner I studied the ecu wiring schematic and looked all in the right places and followed the voltage, the trigger is the ignition signal from the ignition once the key is turned to the ON position. At the time there was no voltage after the relay, I'm sure of this because I had the plastic off of the ecu harness and was measuring voltage just as I was today. I admit last night I installed the relay in a hurry and threw the ecu in real quick so I probably hadn't plugged it in all the way and I didn't check voltages since I had to be somewhere and was rushing. Thanks for the tip though!

Thanks to everyone for their help!

Glad to hear you got it sorted out! Hopefully that's all it was, did you try it with EU hooked up yet?

how does that feel figuring the problem by yourself after mechanics couldn't deal with it? YOU THE MAN!!!
good luck with connecting the EU (no sarcasm here)

I just got my ECU burned (fortunately or not) and car was misfiring as hell((
now, to the better beginnings with new ECU and my IACV problem might actually disappear) or will be fixed

P.S. If you decide to get a new key - check with Home Depot, they offer generic chipped key for 75 or 80 already reprogrammed for you

or you can get a key online for 17 bucks and reprogram it at locksmith.

Besides all that - the build it tempting! waiting to see the end result)) good luck!

Thanks bro! Good luck with with your ecu. They are on ebay for around $130 just look up the part number that's on yours and shoot them an offer they mostly don't decline because those things don't sell often.
