Tester Needed!!
Good to see you're sending Grade 5 bolts too, good call.
I would argue that it's better in the middle where it is because this brace is actually more suited for body flex than frame flex, although it could be argued that because it's all really one and the same on this unibody car that it's essentially the same difference....

Seems to me the lower you mount that closer to the struts, the better. But really, I have no engineering expertise to say one way or the other, just guesswork. $160 for a cross-brace design?
Might as well purchase a proper RSTB.
Here's a picture of my Stillen rear brace for comparison.

Reasons i made the brace to attach to the other side was that i didnt want consumers to avoid it because of stereo systems or losing trunk space.
A brace that will mount directly to the rear strut towers is easy to make but i would go with a flat tube design and wrap it in carbon vinyl.
Once again it comes down to demand and cost
I would stay in the $110.00 - $130.00 range
I have searched other threads were you had tried to get another company to do the R&D but i guess the intrest had fallen thru somehow.

The 6th & 7th gen maximas do not have the rear stock towers located in the trunk area. They have studs that are on the under body of the car that the shocks mount to. This brace was design for there use but luckly it can be made to fit the 5th gens in the same style
i sell these to the 7th gen maxima and 4th gen altimas 4dr and coupes for 94.99 shipped but since the 5th gen requires a little less of material i can do 84.99 shipped.
That really is the best i can do

At this point, Stillen is the only game in town for an actual RSTB. If your product does the same thing (which let's all admit here, is minimal at best), then your bar is a viable alternative to Stillen, IMO.
You need a product name. Hmm...
Unibody Cross-Member
The Magic Black Pole

CXJ Trunk Brace
I actually like the last one.
Consumers could also add a bracket onto the back of it, or you could(better idea bc you could weld it on) and this enables them to attach their sub box to the brace and keep it solidly in place. I have my box connected to my trunk with door hinges to keep it in place. When a box moves around it is bad for acoustics and most people dont even notice it but would notice the difference with it solidly in place
