Does Any One Know How To Install Automatic AE Shift **** on 01 Maxima SE????

Hello my Maxima friends, i was wondering does anyone know/have install the AE Automatic shift **** to any of the 2001 maximas? i'm having trouble installing the shift ****. it will slide in but, will stop on the shifter stick. The Shifter stick is circular, but inside the AE automatic Shift **** is a "T" shape plastic. So please if you have any information about this installment, please spread the words. Thank you everyone
