Grinding sound while turning

I have an 2003 i35 and lately when i turn left or right my car makes a grinding or whining noise. This noise is at its worst when i put the car in reverse. Do you guys think this issue could be wheel bearing related or maybe power steering belt? I never replaced my ps belt since i owned this car. Also, I recently had my rotors and brakes done. Any help would be great. thanks

Does turning direction matter? Speed? Bumps? Is it a metal on metal grind or a medium pitch whining?

i only get the noise while slowing down and it does not sound like metal to metal.

I am a little confused (I should be used to it by now haha). First post says it sounds when turning left and right and it is worse when you put it in reverse (I assume that means driving and not the actual motion of putting the car in reverse). Your second post says it is only when slowing down...turning or no?

Someone smarter might know the problem already or maybe I am just tired and frustrated so I do not understand haha.

ok, let me clarify this. When my car is in (p) and then i reverse the car it makes a hard grinding sound. As i am driving the car and i am about to take a left or right turn my car squeaks as i am slowing down.

look at brakes, then check CV joints, and control arms.

It's more than likely CV joints. Exact same symptoms as my girls 6th gen. You need to figure out which side it is and replace the axle shaft.
