Finally Got new pads and rotors, the old one's sucked ***, the old one's where from Napa, they where called Ultra Premium, aka ultra **** haha they warped so bad, Anyways here is some pics of said new toys, Got them from Brake Motive on ebay, I sure hope they wont warp nearly as fast as the napa ones did, Only paid $98 for these and free shipping, yes i know you get what you pay for, time will tell.

They are decent pads, they just let off a lot of dust, and with those rotors, twice as much. R1concepts has better quality rotors and pads, but its too late.

Sorry had these on my BMW. Brakes will not work till they get warm/hot so be careful. They squeal something fierce. Cross drilled and slotted rotors are LOUD. But minimal brake dust.

Maybe you installed them wrong. I have none of those issues here on either car.

They where installed on a 4500 lb BMW. Perhaps that had something to do with it. I can promise you that initial bite is nowhere near stock. The hotter these pads get the better they work. When it gets cold outside tell me what you hear when applying the brakes. The metallic and ceramic compound in them is what will do it.
Jeeze guys think a bit before you doubt some people. We are all here trying to help each other out aren't we?

I live in NY, it's winter and I still hear nothing whether it's super cold or mild out.

Maybe you didn't break them in properly.

I was going to get those Powerstop rotors and pads for my 4th gen. I love good deals but those just seemed TOO cheap. So you like them so far? No squeals and braking is improved?

I rather spend some more money and get some better pads and rotors then ebay brand. But you get what you pay for.

And if you think this is an improvement, maybe one day you will install some Hawk HPS pads and never go back.

Guess they where different on my old car. I bed the brakes just like Stoptech says.
http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

After a few thousand miles I noticed it happening when cold.

brake motive is an awesom seller and supply great parts. I've bought my last three sets of d/s pads and rotors for my last three trucks from them. I've absolutely loved them. They stay nice looking too, they don't get all rusty like others. I plan on getting them for my max when it needs them too. It's nice to see that others with them have had good luck too.

I tend to agree on most parts but rotors and pads aren't rocket science. Half way decent rotors aren't very expensive to produce nor are the pads. I think good rotors are worth about $50 each, paying more means your just putting more money in their pockets. They arent Ebay brand either. Numerous parts sites sell Stoptech and they have a good warranty and return policy which most cheapo parts do not. Im gonna jump on em after my slotted rotors go bad. I have the super expensive rotors on my car now and they havent shown me anything that would make me buy the same rotors again(I dint buy them, they came with the zxtt calipers I bought)

I do not agree. Cheap rotors have the tendency to overheat and warp alot sooner then a decent set of rotors. I am not saying spend a huge amount on rotors but like you said, a decent set of rotors is roughly $50 for a blank rotor. And the same goes with cheap pads.

If you want to save money, go with at least the lowest entry pads made by Centric or Akebono. If you do have more money to spend, go with pads that are a composite material instead of ceramic with something like Hawk. Same concept applies to rotors.

And the reason I stated Centric as a company is because they also produce Powerslot rotors and Stoptech rotors/pads.

But when you spend $100 for rotors and pads ( or at least I think the OP did since he stated $98 with free shipping ), that is just throwing money down the drain in my opinion.

No squeals, Very nice bite, almost to much, and very smooth, no more pulsating pedal.

No waste of money, just the new way to shop in this terrible economy, gota be a bargain hunter, If they last 5 months so be it, still they outlasted the $98 i spent already.

I've had these rotors on my trucks (like I've already said) for years with alot of abuse stopping with heavy loads and towing campers. They never warped, the brake fade was reduced considerably over stock, the brake dust was reduced dramatically with these pads. They "felt" like the stopped better under normal driving, but that is also comparing to bad rotors with low pads so anything should feel that way. I'll by these hands down for my maxima, they are cheaper than oem replacements, look better, and last longer. I don't drive like speed racer, it's a maxima, not a 350z, plan and simple. If I were building a car with alot of power and was needing the stopping power for high speed abuse, I wouldn't use these. I'd spend the money one a bid brake set-up and call it a day. For an everyday driver. These are GREAT brakes.
