I have heard that if you put the key in the passenger side door and lock it and unlock by the key 3-4 times it disarms the alarm... Not true for all vehicles but give it a shot.

If your security light is staying on constant red, that doesn't mean there's something wrong with the factory security system. It means that there's an issue with the transponder immobilizer system....it's not seeing the correct key...or if it is the correct key, the ECU still isn't recognizing it, and it therefore won't allow the car to start.

To disarm the stock alarm system, all you have to do it put the key into the driver door, and unlock it. No factory remote is needed.

I agree...you have an issue between the ECU and the key itself

I am looking at a 20th ann. Maxima that also doesn't have the key FOB's, but it doesn't have the problem of not starting, so evidently unlocking the driver door with the correct key does work to disarm the system.

Unlocking the door with a key (ANY key) will disarm the alarm system. But the problem that the op is having is not the alarm system, he is having a problem with the NVIS - NATS system (referred to as NATS for short).

To the OP (hitm4n666) - the way I read your post, you are able to start the car. While I don't know why you are having the problem, what you may be doing is this process from the FSM page GI-4.

When failing to start the engine first time using the key of NVIS (NATS), start as follows.
1) Leave the ignition key in “ON” position for approximately 5 seconds.
2) Turn ignition key to “OFF” or “LOCK” position and wait approximately 5 seconds.
3) Repeat step 1 and 2 again.
4) Restart the engine while keeping the key separate from any others on key-chain.

I agree it is prob the transponder key. You may need a locksmith w/ a T code (programming) device. That would be cheaper than towing to the dealer imo.
