4SP question

Hay all. My Australian maxima-teana has a Abit of a thud changing from first too second gear every other gear is fine and smooth my gearbox has fresh fluid and filter plus has a big tranny cooler. It's the 4sp auto Aswell. I've seen and
Heard off lots of solenoid problems. Here in Australia I cant find those valve body kits. So I was going to buy from America. I was gonna ask if my 4SP auto is the same as your American models? I'm going to check my car tomoz and see if there's a model number on the gearbox. Cheers Kurt.

Ok I found out the model number for my 4sp auto. It's RE4FO4B. Is this the same gearbox the American 4sp maxima is running? Cheers Kurt.

It should be on top under the intake filter housing IIRC! Check your tag under the hood mounted on the firewall it usually includes chassis, engine and trans #'s.....

The Transgo HD2 kit is great. I know I had some negative comments associated with bad experience after the install. However I later learned my issue with an overly aggressive and harsh 1-2 shift was due to a busted front electric mount. After replacing, couldn't be happier!

Yep, sounds like bad mounts. You can visually inspect the mounts and see that they're cracked up and split, falling apart, etc.
