My driver's seat just gave up and won't move forwards or backwards anymore. I have the TSB on the issue so I guess this is something that just happens. I may tap it to see if that makes it work but:

1) According to the TSB, I need part: 87562-C9927. This is for cars without ADP. I don't have ADP. Apparently this is selling now for $252? In previous posts people seem to indicate it was selling for more like $170, anyone know why the price has gone up so badly?

2) Any performed the replacement as outlined in the TSB? How hard was it? Will I have to have the Airbag light reset after?

I bought my Maxima without it moving and was quoted at $250 Canadian for a motor, this was about 1.5 years ago, and canadian prices are higher. I'd shop around try Courtesy Nissan sure you can find it cheaper.

In my situation, I actually just tapped the motor and it's been working ever since

Sadly it's $252 USD on Courtesy right now...seems a bit high...

 

Give it a tap seems to work for about half the guys at least for a bit . For me it's been a looong time without a single issue again. but I may have just gotten lucky on that one.

 

My passenger power seat didn't work when I bought the car. Tapped the motor and it's been working ever since. It's like a starter going out. Get under there with a hammer. Work evree time (Major Payne voice) LOL!
