passenger window auto up problem

when the auto up is used, the window goes up, but then goes down a few inches as if there was something there and the window is rolling down for safety.

there is nothing in the molding that would cause this to happen.

any ideas?

The window needs to be reset. Same thing happened to me after I bought the car used.

It's an easy job. http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...t-02-03-a.html

Same procedure, but with pictures: http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...ction-fix.html

The button is not really visible or atleast it wasnt for me when I did this. I just had to keep pressing anything that could possibly resemble a button. Lol it took me going in there like 3 times to find it finally IIRC.

The little plunger reset switch is there, you just haven't found it. Get a mag-light and take your time. Look again.

In the last four years, I reset the driver side once, and the passenger side twice. It's a very simple fix that saves you a one-hour labor at the dealership.
