Extractor fitment
Extractor fitment
Hay guys. I received my custom made cattman extractor-ypipe for my aus spec maxima. I made an attempt to fit these and wow it's pritty complicated. I'm assuming there is going to be a slight difference between the American and Australian maxima but very much the same. The front bank looks like it will be alot easier to remove if the radiator was removed. The rear bank is just stupid. I physically can't get my hand up to the rear bank from underneath the car. I can't even see the rear manifold from underneath I can just see the start of it. How do u guys go about doing this?? It looks like another option for me is to remove the inlet manifold? Cheers Kurt.
I hope you can take this without offense, but it seems that if you're this daunted by the task of even accessing the bolts, then perhaps this is a job best left to a shop?
It's not a simple bolt up, the nuts are often a pain and seized, and require a torch for removal.
I'm not sure what yours willb e like in that climate though. Either way, there ar e abunch of threads on here and many guys that have done it themselves, so hopefullys omeone can chime in and give you some tips at the very least.
