18" Wheels But No Drop

Does anyone have any pictures of their rides with 18' wheels but not dropped. I don't have the money to do both and found a good deal on Craigslist.

These are the wheels I am thinking about.

Any pics?

235/40 is good, or 245/45.. just don't go below the 225 mark since they are too thin, i have a pic of my car with the infinity g35 wheels with 225 in the front

18" 350z Touring rims with 245/40

I'll try and get a more clear pic so you can see the wheel gap but I'm at work right now so it'll have to wait till tomorrow. It doesn't look bad at stock height but everyday you look at it you wish you could drop it lol

Dropped on stock wheels always look 100x better than riding 4x4 on any wheel.

Thanks for the pics, the 18s without the drop still look really nice to me.

I disagree, I think the 18s with no drop look much better.

As long as the 18" rims are oem it will look decent without a drop but its all your opinion. What rims are you thinking about buying?

All you 245/45/18 tire wearing folks speedo is off like crazy! 245/40/18 is a closer dimension to the 225/50/17 diameter than that huge aspect ratio 245/45/18...I'm running 245/40/18 and my speedo is off about 1-2 mph.....

You can always pick up the 18s first and then wait until you can drop the car before putting them on. I personally would never be caught driving around a car with non-stock 18s and no drop.

Them's fightin' words! Haha, j/k. I don't mind the way mine sits with no drop - but now I'm debating whether to rake it or drop it all around. I think the rear looks fine, but the front couuld use losing an inch or so.

I checked mine (running 245/45's) against my GPS this morning - up to 60 mph, there was only a 1-2 mph difference. I'll update if the difference increases at higher speeds once I get a chance to run it on the highway.

The stock wheel gap is bad enough as it is, I don't feel the need to enhance that with some aftermarket rims. Just a personal preference.

IDK if the year/model makes a difference. My brother has a '00 GLE and the 18's made the gap more glaring. On mine, the 18's filled it in rather nicely. We're running the same size tire - 245/45/18.

Same width as 245/45, but /45's are a bit taller. Mine don't rub either, but I haven't dropped it yet. What springs did you drop yours with?

You really trust your hand held GPS? It's close but on the smaller hand held units, they're no where as accurate as the Aviation units which were accurate within + or - 15Ft....I just picked a Tirerack Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 as the mule:
225/50/17.....25.9" Dia.....804 rev/mile
245/40/18.....25.7" Dia.....811 Rev/mile
245/45/18.....26.7" Dia.....780 Rev/mile
Buddy you're off more than 1-2 mph.....maybe about 5 mph

^ checked it against my nav unit - Kenwood DNX 6180. It uses Garmin, so I would have no reason to believe it's any more accurate than a handheld. Just checked it again earlier today up to 75 mph and still getting a difference of about 2 mph at any given sustained speed.

As soon as I'm done tinkering with my newly-installed SE cluster, and possibly waiting until I do the much-debated drop, I'm taking it in to be calibrated just to err on the side of safety.
