If looks matter too, that's also what I'd do to a stock Max. Wow, I agreed with you twice in one day... twice in one thread...

I agree, a lotto ticket and win is what's needed for the budget to make a 4AT A33 DEK "fast" in a straight line.

3.5" intake(120$) + LRMAF(50-80$) + scaling device (cheapest and easiest = SAFCII)(200$) headers, (300-800$)test pipe(30-50$) and 3" exhaust (350-900$), ETL + PUR bushings + VB mod. (275-700$), lightweight 17's (1200+$).

Do the basics and what make the car most fun, PUR bushings + ETL + VB mod + headers.

Stock intake and cat back exhaust can handle up to 250fwhp (proven in a 3.5L, but the 00-03's have the same stock intake [filter housing & associated piping] and cat back set-up).

Be efficient with what you spend, headers are proven and the drivetrain mods ensure that you're losing the least amount of it on it's way to the ground. The aforementioned should put you in the envelope of `1500$. GAB is also free, so there's an extra push there too.

Next up, lightweight 17" wheels.
He has a DE-K, if we're talking about lottery level money, just swap in a VQ35 and throw some FI on that.

Or just buy a new car

LOL bannished !

Funny stuff.

And Auto 3.0 is fine, don't listen to the biased 3.5 dudes. You just NEED to boost it. It's more reliable than the 3.5 on boost as well, which is shweeeet.

Auto's actually faster in a straight line, just get a VB mod done. IMO, auto sucks and is boring, but that doesn't make it slow.

No car needs anything.

But, if you have a VB mod, PUR bushings and an ETL make the car so much more crisp, without them, it's just plain out clumsy and clunky and not fun. With them, it's a different story.

I'm auto and the bushings are on my top 3 favorite mods as far as notice-ability and driveability are concerned.

Again, that's my opinion.

Well it seems like i'm not going to get much more straight line power, so simply making the car more fun sounds good to me. Would a larger sway bar be better than just new sway bar bushings? Well obviously better, but worth the money? Also, with the engine torque link, Were would i go about getting that done? same question with the VB mod?

if ur talkin about a FSTB as a sway bar save the $20 the cost on ebay lol... a RSB is way more noticeable

The Front-Strut Tower Brace (FSTB) is a real mod, but it's also negligible, and mostly for bling. Mostly. The Rear Sway Bar (RSB) is far more worthy and practical.

AFAIK, no one makes a thicker Front Sway Bar (FSB) for the 5th gen, but you're in luck... that SE of yours already has a 23mm FSB, as compared to the 22mm FSB in the GLE and GXE. That's part of the "sport-tuned" (sic) suspension Nissan was marketing. What you should do is get a pair of FSB bushings from Energy Suspension, for something like $20 tops, and your steering will feel nice and responsive again... assuming your front end is solid.

I can't believe you're getting away with all this spoonfeeding. Too funny.

Haha, I know I haven't been around long but I read a ton, and have seen lots of others, along with myself get some serious hate for not searching. This is a mysterious site some days...

Seriously though, thanks to EVERYONE for helping out the new guy. I know many a forum where i'd be lucky to get 5 replies a week, with one being a slightly bit useful, and the rest being hate/flame. Major props to you guys. You're all awesome
