I need some Spoon feeding here...

Evening folks, So I need some spoon feeding here. I have been searching but all the answers i have found haven't really addressed my concerns. To start off, I LOVE my 00 Maxima SE. I HATE the 4sp auto it has. Absolutely depise the trans as a whole. I'm really interested in doing a 5sp swap. Before i go any further, I AM NOT capable of doing the swap myself, and would take it to a shop to have that done. Now what i'm looking for the spoon feeding is were would i find all the necessary parts? Also, What would said parts cost? And finally what would i be looking at cost wise for a shop do do all the work? Thanks guys (and gals)

EDIT: I should say, I don't want to sell my car and buy a car with a 5sp. I know it would be theoretically easier, But i know how well i have taken care of my car. It's very low miles etc. On top of that finding a reasonably priced SE 5sp with low miles here that appears to of been taken care of is mindbogglingly difficult.

Yeah, it DOES look like a very clean, well taken care of car, however my SE has 116,000KM that one has 116,000MILES.

either way its low mileage for a 11 year old car(mileage for that car should be at 132K based on 12K per year). But, there are plenty of threads about a 5spd swap so just take some time and search, a few of those threads even list the parts needed. good luck

That is a link for 5 speed swap on a 4th gen. I'm pretty sure the parts and things needed wouldn't be much different.

Yeah, Cements the fact that i would have to pay a shop to do it. I'm just not mechanically "good" enough to do it. Just wish someone would sell a conversion kit.

As someone recomended, I talked to aacshun and he's a MAJOR help with this. The parts list he made up for me is;

MT Flywheel
MT Flywheel Bolts
MT Flywheel spacer thingy (goes in between the flywheel and the crank)
240mm 24 spline Clutch Disc
Pressure Plate
5MT Transmission Assembly
Shift Rod Linkage and Shifter Assembly
5mt Shifter Trim
Wire in the PNP Switch
Wire in the Reverse lights
Swap to a MT ECU
Clutch Assembly
Throw out bearing
5 quarts Synthetic Manual tranny fluid
*
What does everyone think these will cost me? I'm assuming used is the only way to acquire them.

you can acquire these items brand new...it will cost much more though, used parts for most of these items is the way to go to keep cost down.

Thanks for the help so far guys , And is there anything on that list that would be suggested buying new? Not everything, but certain items that perhaps aren't commonly found in good condition used?
