2000 maxima engine swapped and won't start **HELP PLEASE**
I recently bought an engine from a junk yard with a 90 day warranty. Prior to intstalling I had to take off the flywheel because it was a screw behind it loose.I put it in and the car won't start unless I put some gas or starting fluid in the intake, but it cuts right back off. I changed the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pump relay. Still only starts with the fluid or gas. So I bought a used fuel pressure regulator and it sounds like it wants to start more, but still won't start without starting fluid. I didn't change the sending unit that the pump goes in because I think it's good because when I turn the key I hear it prime. So I disconnected one of the fuel lines at the engine(not the fuel pressure regulator) to see if it was getting gas. When I turn the key gas comes out for about three seconds, but when I try to start the fuel stops coming out. What could be the problem? Any suggestions or solutions please? Thanks in advance
P.S the engine was probably sitting for a long time because i had to clean the spark plug wells. It was oil caked up, but I wasn't able to clean them out completely, jus enough to see some of the metal so hopefully spark would catch. I changed the ecu, iacv, 6 coils(advanced auto parts), Maf sensor, cam sensor, harmonic balancer, water pump, all belts, fuel pump, pressure regulator, fuel filter.
Could it be a timing issue? How do I check that if the car won't start?
Ecu issue?
Crank sensor?
Knock sensor?
Could my injectors be clogged or no good?

um just curious, whats a " choke " ?
were you able to turn it over by hand with a wrench?
Do you have fuel coming out of the rail?
Do you have spark coming out of the coil packs?
have you done a compression check?
Is the flex plate installed correctly ? ( iirc they are keyed and only go on one way )
I am going to assume the engine was ok at the time of install and the sensors were plugged in , in the correct connector?

Its kinda hard to explain what the choke is, but it's something by the the upper intake plenum that has a lid that I believe is opened up when needed.
Yes i get fuel at the rail when I turn the key but when I try to start the fuel stops.
I know it's getting spark Cuz it starts when I put starting fluid in the intake
Every connector is hooked up right
No compression check done yet tho
What is a flex plate??
