My 02 se 6 spd. Car will not idle past 1k in gear, almost like the throttle is unhooked?? In neutral car revs free, as soon as it is put in gear it is like it goes into a limp mode, car actually stalled once and it would not turn over almost like battery was dead, a couple minutes llater started right up like nothing was wrong, checked terminals and they are tight, no corrosion, I am stumped? Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

None I do not have a scanner, will have too bring it too my friends tomorrow as he has one. Kinda wierd when it was in safe mode all the idiot lights were on on the dash, even the door open light, that all went away, almost seems electrical, just started the car and runs ok, when all this happened earlier it was ideling really rough almost like the exhaust was plugged???

 

Ok just got back from Auto Zone, they ran a scan for me, only code was small leak evap, battery tested out ok although it stated that I needed to charge the battery, however, the alternator showed no charge at all? How is this possible? Could the tech at AZ said he had never seen that before. Could I have a broken wire? Could the alternator be completely dead (not charging) the belt and all the pulleys are turning. Anyone have any thoughts/ideas? Ever see this before? Could this cause the issues I experinced? Any info appreciated. Thanks
