MAF question...

I have a 2000 I30 and it doesn't have power as I know it should. From a stand still it will take off fine (in my opinion but maybe it should be better...idk) but if I'm moving and decide to wanna speed up it does so lazy. I cleaned and tested my MAF and its grounded fine its getting the right power and its voltage reading is within spec. Could it still be bad even though it has all the proper electrical readings? If not then what else could be the culprit of what it described above?

I believe the 2000 I30's have the DE-K motor with the VIAS. Most likely that is broken and you're peaking at 25HP less than you should because that manifold is not opening up like it should. You should feel a surge of power at something like 3500 RPM's when the VIAS opens up. It's almost like a little turbo boost.

I have been putting it off but I think I will do it this weekend. Is there a way to get it off without loosening up the throttle body?
