Transmition slip 4sp

Hay guys

My 4sp auto Transmition has slowly gotten worse with this slip during a full throttle up shift. It changes great during normal gear changes and when going through all the gears stationary. When it's about to change it will slip for Abit then change gear. My front engine mount the one near the radiator is pritty bad and broken. Could this be the problem? My fluid is brand new also.

Cheers kurt

I'm not sure about the correlation of the mounts to the shifting issue. Fluid level good? Leaks? Does the slip happen in cold AND hot ATF? Full throttle you mean wide open throttle? Because flooring it should make it downshift (kickdown function). Does it slip into all upshifting gears? Did you do any flushes in the trans?

In auto trans, there's what we call a shift overlap. While the downshift tapers its grip, the upshift gradually grabs towards the output. Do a pressure test to your car and SAFELY conduct a stall test. A powerflow diagram would be beneficial to the diagnosis as well.

Fluid level is actually Abit overfull but clean. only happens when up shifting into a higher gear happens when cold and hot and on wide open throttle only.

Broken mounts could make harsh/banging shifts. They should be replace.

Do fix the common problem first: Mount(s). Start the car and open the hood. does the engine shakes badly?

Well i end up draining the oil and correcting the leval cause it was just over half a litre over full. Took it for a drive and fixed that was the problem.

Car seems to have developed the problem back again witch is unusual. But i must say the engine mount is getting worse im just trying to find a cheap one. It slips now on the upshift and feels sluggish at the same time. Could a really bad engine mount possibly cause this? Cause my fluid leval seems to be fine now. This problem only started when my engine mount got worse.
