Two words... Sprint Booster (that'd be funny if it worked on the 5th gen)

It's a 2000 with 120k miles on it. Have you done any maint? Start there - TB, MAF, etc. Check cables.

man I wish I knew wha u meant by those, I'm not an expert lol, only maintenance I've done was oil to tell u the truth... from the previous owner... I think spark plugs, motor mounts, some idle thing that car would shut off when u turn it
on... not really sure, what is usually the problem for lagging? can it be transmission? I mean some times when I'm driving it's not smooth changing gears also like from 1 to 2 it's a lil hard shift

Is your Check engine light on? TB=throttle body, MAF=mass air flow sensor. Clean them both. Check air filter. Are your plugs NGK? If not, get NGK and put them in.

Geez....

You're familiar with the internet... so do a search for the codes and what they mean. Search for everything else or just take it to a mechanic.

Just a FYI - when asking for help you need to be more specific up front.

I don't want to be a d1ck, but you have been given some things to try. You will need to search if you don't know where they are located. This stuff has been covered somewhere. There are stickies in the 5th gen section that will walk you through cleaning the stuff you need to clean.

Read thru this
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...t-reviews.html

And this
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...n-how-diy.html

It also seems you started a thread on the 13th asking about the codes. You were given answers as to what they were but you have not fixed the 0420 code yet. Fix that, clean the things about then report back AFTER searching and be specific when you post back.
