How do I find the vacuum hose thats connected to the air control valve?

See test #4 of the following link: http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...is-thread.html

I'm not too familiar with the hoses of my 2000 SE, and want to perform that test list on #4 (and #5).

Thanks,

Mr T

Look at the diagram in Step #5 in you link. There's 2 hoses on the helmholtz manifold (the thin, black plastic housing between the MAF and the throttle body (not the air filter box, the smaller one).

The large hose goes to the back of the front valve cover. The small one goes to a metal line mounted on top of the upper intake maniford - that's the one you are looking for.
