Alternator question, 110amp vs 125amp, 02
Alternator question, 110amp vs 125amp, 02
So my electrical issues have been explained by the fact that my alternator is putting out 31 amps vs 60 amps and therefore i gotta replace it. I don't have the time or ability to do this myself and after he changed his 00 alternator my uncle doesn't wanna work on mine lol. So i took it to a shop i trust, i got a good price, but they said they had 2 possible alternators, a 110 amp and a 125 amp. I believe i read that the stock is a 110 amp, but i was curious if the 125 amp might fit and wondered if anyone might have done this before. I have a small sub setup (350watt) so the extra 15 amps wouldn't hurt any, but if it's gonna require modding i don't want to mess with it. Any help/input is appreciated!
Thanks!
Thanks!
A difference of only 15 amps should not require any modification assuming the 125a one is made specifically for the Maxima. That small of an output difference is not going to require a massively oversized alternator or anything like that, so you should be good to go.
