Glad I'm being dragged into a conversation of which I had no part of, or actual care for.

It's his car. Do what he wants. What does it matter if he's spending $300 every two months on new tires? It's not my money that's being wasted.

By the way, Denver, that rotor shows serious signs of overheating. Look at the wear patterns on it. There are score marks, and areas where there's excessive pad material transfer.

How old was that thing?

I thought that came out of left field, too. Which is why I felt compelled to defend your right to fap at whatever you want.

Just looking out for you, buddy.

well good luck finding a car.

The only car i can think of with a good transmission out of the factory is the 6spd from the MKIV supra. The bone stock Getrag with just clutch and flywheel upgrade could handle 1000whp with ease.

Hustle, how much more does the new wheel tire combo weigh than the old ones? Was it an old rusted rotor? If its too high you might have the cause for this rotor breaking. Caliper clamped down but the inertia was simply too much for the rotor to handle and it broke. The stock calipers are pretty damn beefy but if you got some heavy wheels then it may be too much you know?

I thought you just put those wide ones on or was that not your 4th? Either way, thats crazy dude. I would want to know exactly why because if it happens again you might not be so lucky. I've heard of wheel weight overwhelming stock rotors and its rare but it def does happen.

the dark spot on the rotor is where it burnt through the rag and on my finger.. the rag just melted on it.. it was a suck moment as when i pulled my hand out just off natural reaction, the the part of the raf melted off on my fingers n kept boiling, i paniced n grinded it off with my teeth the spit it out lol... hence the excessive burn on my finger

You know what I love about the Sonata? That chrome trim that runs from the sight-line of the headlight, down the fender and all the way across the beltline.

Beautiful detail.

You probably should have gone with a similar tip for the "G". Perhaps the double-wall, polished stainless steel. 30deg. angle tip would've looked nice.

And much less "60's muscle car retro." than the single wall 45deg. tips <IMHO>.
