Just like the one that says 20% of our old house has to remain in an unaltered historic preserved state so 1/3 of our basement is unfinished

<IMHO> Most power protectors don't do squat. Best you can hope for is the MOV's in those suckers burn open. One good close lightening strike & the inducted EMI will fry most any CMOS devices anyway.

lol... well thats not necessarily true.... there is a channel on youtube about it... but the most important thing about surge protectors i always tell people that the warranty on those things are lifetime so if they do get a hit or overload and they registered all thier products then they are covered for $40K or more in damages...

So they're old and antiquated, you say?

Very well, I'll dispose of them for you. Ship them to me, free of charge, and I'll get rid of them for a low price. I accept gold, silver, and cigarette cartons.

Funny you should mention that. On a slightly different subject. I noticed how nice the beam pattern is with the SilverStar zXe bulbs I got a few mos. ago. Yeah you can crack on how they're faux HID Halogens. But the pic I took & the vid shows that they work as advertised.

I'm talking about one of those 220V mainframe monsters. Probably could run the whole house for 4-6 days.

After Brett's recent paternity scare. He should wear 2 rubbers, just in case 1 breaks.
