Well, when you two get over your persecution complexes for a minute, would you mind helping me to understand how the GH17 the blk answer is correct?

Are you getting the answer from a solution manual? I'm not sure how you have -20 as the coefficient for c. You had it at -15 and then brought it down to -10. Did I miss something?
i simply copied and pasted what bryan quoted me asking... i never changed anything this was my 1st time even doing the equation on here.... did you answer question 2 on ur exam based on what question one was???...

No that was not my reply when my professor said i made a mistake... i took the time to learn, which is what i obviously did when i figured out the problem... i dont get where you are going with that....

i dont even know how you are using coefficiency when thats not whats used to solve the equation... and yea if you read earlier you would see where i said im trying to brush up for a test so yea i do have the answers at my disposal but that wouldnt help in the test so i took the time to find out how to solve the equation n why it got to those numbers...

and yet he is accusing me of ignorance almost.. but he didnt read his statement lol... if his professor explained the equation like that to him and he simply says "You're Wrong!".... how does that exclude him from ignorance???...

I dont really like to deal with ppl who thinks they know every single thing in life and no matter what you do you are wrong and cant be right unless its their way whether its actually right or wrong lol... not the circle i converse with either... to those people every single thing becomes a bigger "*****" contest... i admit i dont know everything, so seeing as though he knows that im wrong its only safe to assume he knows whats right... so as the inferior person hes making me out to be im asking of his superior knowledge to help me understand how do i got about the question to get a different answer... i explained my way, now ill wait for him to explain his way

You know what? You guys are right... nothing at all wrong with Best Buy employment. In fact, it was just the other day I was commenting on how coveted employment is at Wegmans, and that's a grocery store.

So good point, and my bad for wording it that way.

It still seems to me that with that kind of training you should be able to find work. But I'm not you, and have no idea how much effort you're actually applying to the job hunt. I would imagine the harder you search, the more frustrating it would be... assuming you're looking.

i think my brother is in some computer engineering/networking field...this fool banking right now..i mean not super big bucks, but he's living better than comfortably. i consider myself just living. even w/ my meager income i still look out for those around me if i can. sometimes i wonder...am i too giving/nice... but i try to make sure if i give/loan to people around me, i trust them. so it dont feel bad to let them borrow or give them some money. like a friend of mine known him since we been little. looked otu for him while he was out o a job, got one job, shot him some hustles when i had the funds, now he got two jobs, hustlin like a monster right now. he in a better position in life right now. hopefully he'll be better off before the summer is out

where did Nell-edge go??....

anyways, with math being my fav subject its crazy how much fun i actually found in figuring out that question lol.... only thing that sucks with the exam im going to take is that there is 33 question to be completed in 46mins... thats a lil under a minute and a half to solve these equations... IMO for a question that have so many steps to do you should be allowed a lil more time, its not like its competition math or something lol

mannnnnnnnn you have no idea, i was out of work for 9 months, i had to show 2 jobs i put in for every wk when i was on unemployment i believe. i had so many sheets filled up, was detailing cars on the side and helping a carpenter do roofs in the dead of summer and winter and still throwing out resumes. barely got any bites man, it was the most frustrating almost depressing time of my life.

that's why nowadays i'm more humble and down to earth than i have been before and more appreciative of what i have. almost came to a point where i was going to, unfortunately have to break lease and leave my apt and basically go live at somebody elses house...i've been on my own ever since i finished up tech college. to have to rely on somebody that much...let's just say i'm happy to be able to pay my bills w/o help

It's a humbling topic. Things get real, real fast.

Makes me glance upwards once in a while and say "thanks". Not that I'm talking to anyone in particular, just grateful is all.

it was a few months that i was talking to phatboi about job hunting... in all seriousness, job hunting was harder than my full time job... while i was working i heard a lot of people say how hard it is to find a job and while i listened i never imagined it would be so difficult... i think i also said before that at this point if a job was to reply they would have to explain what the job entails and what did i actually applied for.. for all the people i network with that claim they may have a good "inn" on a job... not one has delievered to this day... it was never this hard to find a job when i was on the hunt back in 2005... my 6yr experience doesnt seem to hold any weight

I drove to class. Some of us don't know everything so we have to pay top dollar to have someone else teach us what can't be learned easily working in industry.

Go back and read my post. How did you get from -15 to -10?

You're not the only one that has had hard knocks. You're just the only one that feels you are. My life has been hard as well. I have earned everything I have through hard work and perseverance.

BTW, I never had to take the SATs....

I created the SAT!!!

One of my best friends finally lost his job at Kodak last month, after 25 years. Too young to retire, but with skills way-y-y too specialized to find new employment at even half his previous salary.

I feel for him. Then again, it's not like he didn't see this coming for the last 10 years.

Because Kodak.

BTW, I never had to take the SATs....[/SIZE]
SATs saved my ***, only reason why I got into college, 1210 w/ a 2.1 gpa doesn't make too much sense to a lot of schools

after getting a lil lesson... to "foil" or to "factor" isnt really solving a problem

F.O.I.L means something... first, outer, inner, last so using that method

step 1... y= 2 (x^2 *First, -3x * outter, +5x *inner, -10 *last) last numbers are actual numbers so you multiply them out

y= 2(x^2 -3x +5x -10) -3x n +5x are similar terms that can be factored out

step 2... 2(x^2 +2x -10) after this step you multiply everything inside the parentheses n equation solved

step 3... y= 2x^2 +4x -20

answer... Y= 2x^2 +4x -20

You did a ninja edit, but I've got a screen shot.

I'll concede that you have the bigger ***** if you concede I have the bigger shaft. Seems fair.
