5th gen Off Topic Thread (Official Ghustle thread v1)
Breakfast this morning from a little place down the street is a Rocket in a Pocket with hash browns. It's a pita stuffed with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, diced bell peppers, onions, lettuce and sliced tomato's with Rocket sauce. Without Rocket sauce it's called a Scud.
I also ran the dampers too stiff. You'd think this is illogical, but on the last run I turned the shocks to the halfway point (fairly soft), and it was faster, like noticably faster.
So I was disappointed that I didn't know this before. Couple that with non-functioning ABS, and I didn't feel as fast as last time.
Also, not having a couple guys I know to run with made the whole thing kind of bitter-sweet. It's just way more fun with others you know well, especially in cars you know, etc.
But next run is mid-month next month. I just installed my MREV2 Lower IM, and will have the Akebono's on for that. Coupled with knowing the softer suspension benefit, that should make for one heck of an AutoX run.
Also I have to say, the setup and course here was 10x better than Rochester. Over 100 cars out as well. It was awesome, just lacked a few key ingredients.
Meh. I raised the front just before the event in fear it was going to rub during cornering.

Reading the article I sent you should help in beginning to comprehend the dynamics involved. I have a hard time wrapping my head around some of the more technical stuff, but it's given me a basic understanding.
Not necessarily, handling is something of a 'black art' even for the pros. Just as you found out stiffer isn't always better!

You want the Atacama interior? It's the driest interior... in the world.

Thanks for the joke, too. I had it in mind when I read atacama. Unfortunate that you had to link it haha

Volvo's Atacama leather interior...
Pure sexy ness ..... and the sound of that 2.5 turbo inline 5 is music to my ears ... I been dreaming about it the Last 2 days
This. I drove an auto and a 6-spd V70R and the auto was SOOO slow compared to the 6-spd. Find one with the slide-up Nav too. Personally I'd get the wagon. They just look better IMHO. And try to get one with around 50K. You do not want one with close to 100K. Too much money you'll be needing to put in it. I will say this, Volvo's have the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. Better than my dad's Lincoln.
wow and this guy had the nerve to pm me and attempt to call me some name FFS

This car is better suited for an actual Track-style Road course than autoX anyways. It will never be 'fast' at Auto X
i like wild colored interiors.....but that looks like a girl that has a tanning bed addiction. I would rather have the black or tan interior than that. That is a bit much.
It doesn't look like that normally. I think the color is off a couple hues because I remember it being slightly darker. Also, I don't remember there being that gawd awful light wood trim to "match" like it looks like they're trying to do.
