Yep the whole throwback/retro thing. It used to be cool until what was old started to be reproduced again. It was fun going on hunts looking for something that was old. Today's new "reproduction" stuff just took the fun out of it.

Hell, even Pepsi is doing it...

Old Pepsi can...

Pepsi Throwback...

Personally I'd like to see Crystal Pepsi make a comeback. I used to drink that stuff like water.

I have a lip like that, but never installed it. I couldn't stand the gaps. I don't have many pet peeves, but gaps in poorly fitting parts is one of them.

I do like those AE headlights. I thought about getting a pair for my car. One thing that urks me is the strange cutoff pattern of the 00-01 headlights. The top is slanted at an angle. I'd like them much better if it had a straight cutoff. Maybe I'll take the little lightbulb covers out and trim them up to see if I can change that.

a reason i think we should hold off on the bashing type comments (god awful/hell fails or whatever and however creative yall get with em), a simple i dont like it and why explains your take on a car plenty enough... because i can go on and say on a "fail/god awful" scale that grill leads the way... however, i simply just dont like it mainly because of the grill

It would probably look better in black, the chrome 'pops' too much.

I really can't disagree with you on that, something about the way the 00-01 grill flows. It looks a bit sportier than the 02-03 grill. <IMHO>

Maybe so though CJ is usually on target. I'd rock those wheels in a heartbeat if they're 18x8's.

The 95-96 grill does look sportier. I don't like the bar thing that runs across the 97-99 grill.

SURPRISE I agree with you! I'm into grills that flow with the lines of the car & almost disappear. Like how a BLACK mesh grill vs. chrome would look on 'Tuners' old car.

Is a 95-96 grill interchangeable (direct swap) with a 97-99 or does it take some work to get it to fit?
