5th gen Off Topic Thread (Official Ghustle thread v1)
But it seems once a mod, always a mod. Unless, I suppose, a bunch of mods ban together and get you stripped of your moderator powers. That would be weird. I wonder if there's a special ceremony for that?
Anyway, here's the last picture I was able to find of some of the originators of the Org. I think DanNy is the one in pink.
I really don't know, but I surmise that being a Moderator on one of these forums is considered a privilege, and positioned that way it's 100% volunteer. Manny could answer that one for you.

A bike ride and picnic. Can't beat that.

I saw those too. even though they are only 17s, I think I would be able to pull them off on my car.

If anyone asks about being a mod, unsolicited, they're not considered for the position.
Mods can't strip other mods of powers...that's what Supermods and Admins are for

And yeah, pretty much once a mod, always a mod. Unless you get all power-tripped, the admins will put you in line.
^^^
Certainly the Admin has some kind of stake in the forum, right? Probably not a flat fee, but a small percentage of site revenue. I wonder what that is? I remember reading once some years ago that there's about $50k annual in direct revenue between membership and advertisements, but I don't recall where I got that number from.

I need to come up with some ideas... for a forum.

afaik, the board owner is the only one getting paid from that site...the entire mod / admin team is volulnteer.
See this is how rumors are started. Damn it.I said I thought total site revenue was 50K, not admin salary, if there is such a thing. Seriously, how much could that possibly be? It's hardly a full time engagement. 5 to 10 hours a month, tops. Or zero, if you delegate properly to responsible volunteers.

now that is a novel idea. I like this thread because everyone in it is real. We do what we say and prove it and are all enthusiastic about Nissan. I ignored Clashez because he would repeatedly say he did this or that and when asked to prove it, he never did. That is fake and groups you with millions of other forum members(not this forum specifically just in general) who are all talk. I don't like those people who come to a forum to act like a BA or something but when it comes down to it they dont do half of what they say or in his case 0%
It was a car forum thing about how you are not your post count. I always liked that one. Wait, are you still using that? Wow... brain not working well at the moment.
Hey look, here's a version for some computer tech forum. LOL

I do like that one you found, though.
yeah...right
:
But I"ll be honest, the thought DID cross my mind. But I wasn't gonna haul @ss down a freeway onramp and go 3 miles to the nearest exit, turn around and go 3 miles back in rush hour Seattle traffic going back...no thanks

Although I did get a pic of this on my way home today, thought it was worth a chuckle or two

Best reason to do anything.

What are you known to be again?
