Yea, soon. He had a chance to get a JWT ecu with 7200 rev limit and advanced timing specifically tuned for a 3.5 swap for dirt cheap. But he let someone talk him out of it. That would have made tuning so much easier.

What's weird about these cars is that the V8 was faster than the standard V12, unless you got the CSi which had a more powerful V12 over the standard 850. The 840 was the V8 model.

Hell to the **** nah. I would never spend that much on a motor unless it's going into a 3k pound or less rwd car with a stiff chassis. And It will push atleast 600whp on low boost at that.

lol. I mean, If I rememeber correctly, N/A cosworth VQ35's push around 370whp on engine dynos right? That's probably around 320hp-340hp to the wheels. A bolt on 370z does about 320whp... I'll just cam the **** out of it.

And worst comes to worst...

This. 540i FTMFW

I hate new bimmers (02+). They all look like chick cars to me. Big crazy eyelash style lights just top the list of horrid styling choices in BMW's repetoir in the last decade.

Why get that and not just go with the M5? 400HP and a 6-speed. Umm, yes please.

Love Love the 850's. One sick, twisted, beautiful machine. Finding an actual 850 CSi though... Man you talk about bucks for one! A mint example will go for 30-40 grand... Best bet is to find an 850Ci with a stick to be affordable. The 840 is less problematic though.

Because when you see the M/// or the quad exhaust, you know its fast. I would debadge it. They respond well to bolt ons.
