Looking at a 2000 Maxima SE 5spd to buy, but the guy says it has the P1320 code and it wont go away. Car has 128,000 on it. I need the code off to pass inspection in Mass.

He said he replaced the coil with a Napa one, but the code is still on. If I buy it I'm going to replace all 6 coils with OE one's. From what I read thats what these Nissan's need, OE coils!

What manufacturer makes a good quality coil?
Anyone have the Hitachi coils, if so how good are they? Says they're OE. So I'm thinking of getting the Hitachi one's.
Before I buy it, if its not the coils what else could be triguring this P1320 code? Some say it could be a faulty wire going to the coils, which I will look for. But also some say it could be a cracked Harness, and I know they're costly. So where is the harness located, so I can make sure its not that before I buy it.

Buy OEM from Nissan. You're taking a huge chance buying elsewhere. Should be able to get a set of 6 for about $450. Look here:

Also replace the 6 spark plugs while you're at it. Use the problem as a way to reduce the price of the car by $500.

IMO, you only need to replace the plug thats bad....but with a good OEM plug.
