If you mean an alarm with remote start that will work on a manual transmission, then see your local Clifford retailer. I know the Clifford Solaris G4 system is up to the task as I have the owner's manual. I'm sure there are others.

Alternatively you could find a place willing to install a much cheaper Automatic remote starter like I did.
***BUT: they will probably get you to sign a waiver if they do it at all - they don't want to be held liable. Because this car can now be started IN GEAR it can be very DANGEROUS if you have the habit of parking it in gear (I don't and live in the flatlands). If you try this the car will (supposedly) jump forward and smash someone's rear end, crush unsuspecting legs, run over small mammals, etc, etc.
NOT for the forgetful or those who park in gear habitually.

What does the system do to ensure safe starting of a manual? I'm assuming it doesn't depress the clutch. I was reading on Clifford's web site, but it doesn't exactly explain.

I just read through the manual. Even if you wire this thing up to a manual, its a real pain in the a$$. In order for auto-start to work, you've got to leave the car running, engage the parking brake, put the car in neutral, press button #1 twice, then press button #3 once, then exit the car and engage the alarm with will cut the engine and set the car ready for autostart...then you have to call your Aunt in Detroit and have her check to see if her refrigerator is running. Hassle-city.

It's so complicated because it has to know you're not in the car and it's locked, so that no one can put it into gear between then and when you remote start.
One salesman once told me you could hook up the parking brake switch to a magnetic switch (like those used in home doors for alarms) that was attached to the stickshift and a bracket so that it would know it was in neutral.... I just nodded and thought he was full of it, since he also thought the hoodpin was also a safety switch.
