Hola muchachos...

Ive had my 2001 Nissan Maxima California Specification for quite a while now and well, I got tired of the pesky CEL already.

I did some research here on the forum but no definite concrete answer.

At first it would throw the:

P0420 - Catalyst Efficiency Low Bank #1

which was okay with me, what do I care about the catalytic converter. So I would reset it and it started coming back sooner and sooner.

And now it also throws out the following codes along with the previous code:

P0158 - 02 Signal Slow Bank #2, Sensor 2
P0159 - 02 Signal Slow Bank #2, Sensor 2

Now my questions are:

Should I replace "02 Sensor 2" first?
Where in Carmen San Diego is Sensor 2 located?

Bank 1 Catalytic converter is the PRE-CAT coming from the exhaust manifold closests to the firewall correct?

Also, Can't I just replace the "bad cat" with a federal one. Seeing as how Federal Law trumps state law, hehehehehe... I am just asking cause I know a guy who knows a guy that works out of his garage that can help me pass the smog.
