Steering Wheel Removal
Hey guys, I'm planning on removing my steering wheel, but just wanted to check in to see if there are any precautions I should note other than disconnecting the battery terminal for 10 min before unplugging the airbag harness.
Should I lock the steering wheel with the key out before taking off the 19mm nut? Anything I should be aware of or could I just gently wiggle the steering wheel off after the nut and heated steering wheel harness are off?
Thx in advance!

Impact gun and steering wheel puller (t bar with assorted Grade8 bolts)
Without an impact gun it'll be a cak. I wouldn't trust the steering lock to hold against it, you could end up breaking hte steering lock.

Thanks Tuner.
I finally got around to installing my Infiniti QX4 woodgrain steering wheel. I had to separate the wheel from its column trim piece to fit on the Maxima's column trim piece. The only thing I noticed is that I lost 1/4 turn on each side for lock, did I do something wrong? The car otherwise steers normally and feels tight like before, and looks more luxurious (and less sporty, hehe).
