rough starting

rough starting

01 se with 76k miles,,,car starts rough ,,like engine shaking then starts up smoothly,,runs great but sometimes it starts smooth and other times it starts rough but car starts with no problem,,any ideas or input to why it happens ,,battery is strong,,,die hard gold with 800 cca,,,motor mounts are fine,,no jumping or jerking,,weather is clear and dry,,

dealing with a simular issue... have you checked your fuel pressure? codes? auto? manual?

i had that problem when i had my 3.0 my engine shake but it was an easy fix my ignition coils was going bad one by one it gave me a cel light

no codes show up,,pressure is good ,,engine runs smooth...

k, so maybe be a bit more specific... when u say it starts roughly do u mean, it has long cranks but doesnt actually fire up right away? or once it fires up it runs rough for a few seconds? or when cranking its rough then fires up perfectly?

no long cranks ,,fires up quickly but with roughness ,,like shaking,,doesn t do it all the time but it annoyed me,,,sometimes starts smoothly and quick like no shaking or roughness,,,still does it,,

injectors dirty......or test your water temp sensor it could be faulty....

doubt its injectors being he said it runs fine, but it could be his C.T.S.

cam and crank sensors, did u test them with a multi meter? and u "checked" the starter how? just by looking at it? so i still dont really understand how its runs rough.. your starting it and it runs rough for a few seconds? Is that what u mean? or while its turning over to start it feels rough..... and again.. auto or manual...........?
