Transmission jerking problem with 2k1 auto
Hello all
I have a 2k1(despite my userid) GXE auto, a dealer demo with 5k on it. It drove beautifully initially and I enjoyed it everyday. One fine day, I started feeling jerks as the car shifted from 1st to 2nd to 3rd gear, more pronounced uphill. Once you get to 40+, this stops unless you slow down again. I was browsing around in the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) site and they have this TSB for 2k1 Maxima which roughly seems to illustrate my problem.
(Go to http://www.nhtsa.com/cars/problems/tsb/ and enter SB620000 as NHTSA item no. in quick search field)
I wonder if anyone here has/had encountered this similar problem and what could be done to fix it. I love my Maxima, but this jerking is driving me crazy.
Thanks !!

My dealer replaced the tcm and solenoids on my 2k max se and all the problems were gone for about 28,000 miles then the automagic started acting funny again. So now I have no more max, Transmissions can be very costly after the warranty expires.
