G35 coupe 18s rubbing , need help

So I bought some wheels from g35 couple, 7 spoke 18x8. The front wheels fit whithout any problem because the tires size is 225/45/18 but the back one are rubbing because they are 245/45/18. So the question is what tire size should I buy to get rid of the rubbing issue, my suspension is stock. Will be getting some tokico HPs in the near future cuz my stock ones are leaking but will keep the stock springs.

You need to go with some 235/40/18 tires. I had the same problem with mine when i first got them. But this tire size solved the problem.

the rims are not staggered so this is a simple question i think you shouldve been able to figure out on your own lol... use the same tire profile as the fronts... 225/45/18

Something is wrong with your car or the tires are actually larger than that.

I have the same rims with same tires and it's impossible for them to rub. The clearance is huge. The front is another story when turning...

OP, do what i did and put the 245's in the front.. it's a quick fix until you have money to buy tires that fit

I have the same exact tires and rims. I have the rubbing in the rear even after grinding the tabs and rolling the fenders. I switched my eibachs for stock springs only in the rear and the rubbing only occurs on large dips/bumps. If I have people in the back then it rubs all the time. Get 235/40/18 tires, I have read that those will solve the problem, even if you are lowered.

no they arent, the G35C wheels, like the ones in my sig are 18x8 +30 all the way around. when i ran 245/40/18s on mine, they rubbed in teh rear, because of that tab on the rear bumper. that's it

I may have been mistaken. The rims on my max the 05 G35 coupe wheels do have a staggered offset I put the rear rims in the front and the front in the read and it looked goofy
Just my .02 cents

When mine rubbed I was told to grind the plastic on the little tab behind the wheel and bend the metal up with a hammer.

just bend the metal, dont grind teh plastic, that's the bumper that's bolted to the tab/metal you bend

Then why are the rims marked front and rear?
And why when I rotated them does it now sit flush?
It doesn't poke in the front anymore.
The offset is staggered google it

100% correct, just look on Irish's infiniti wheel thread. The g35 did come with 225 up front and 245 in the rear and all four rims are +30 offset.

because the front got the 225/45 and the rear got 245/45...i'm willing to bet that your wheels were marked by someone at a shop. i've had 2 sets either i didnt look that hard or didnt care, but looking at the stamping at the back of the wheels it tells you exactly what the specs are 18x8 +30 offset, period

I just don't get it at all. It's not drawn on my rims with
a crayon or anything it's stamped from the factory.
I replaced all 4 of my tires with a matching set. 225/40/18. If I put the "rear" rims in the front they poke. If theyre where they should be that all sit flush. I don't understand what would cause that if the offset is all the same

Everyones car is a little different. I've run the 350z rims with 30 offset and 245/45/18 all around. Love the stance it creates and how it my fully fills the fender gap! I've got an Eibach drop and rub on the rear passenger side only if I have a full backseat/trunk or hit a bad dip in the road, but my rubbing is only slight.
I plan on slightly rolling my rear fenders or installing the Q link at some point.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh kkkkkkkkkkk. your only concern is front and rear being stamped on your wheels and i told you a possibility and that i never paid attention to taht on my wheels just the numbers. told you the stock tire sizes on the G35. like i said, numbers are numbers and they are not lying. them being front and rear specific is only for the G35 because of the tire size, and technically it doesnt matter whether the front stamped is on the rear and vice versa. the stats on the wheel are the same, only the tires made it 'staggered'

I wonder if pics of these magical wheels would determine that these are not g35 rims?
Pics would set this to rest. Also pics if the stamp you describe would settle things.

maybe it LOOKS off with the G wheels on the Max because the Max's rears are 10mm further in than the fronts...?

also, the G35 came with more than one rim style...maybe we're getting them confused?

My line of thinking entirely. With some images of rims and the stamping, should streamline feedback on how to resolve the rubbing.
