Consult II Timing Advance Question!!!

Consult II Timing Advance Question!!!
I went to the Nissan Dealership today to get my timing advance done. However, I was not able to and paid them $33.44!!! Here are their reasons.
1. Consult II can only advance timing when the engine is at 150 degrees.
2. Consult II cannot advance timing when there is a check engine light (I got code P0325, P0139, P0138).
Are these TRUE statements about the Consult II?

Posted in your other thread. But I'm confused because only your O2 codes are consistently mentioned.
I don't know what the 0435 is, but the 0425 you mentioned in your other thread is the knock sensor. The secondary O2's should had been able to be cleared as they do not affect fuel trim. However, if your other code is indeed a knock sensor, the mechanic did you a favor. Regardless of whether Consult can make a timing change with those codes, a good mechanic would never adjust timing with a bad knock sensor code. To do so IMO would be negligent.
On another note, I know the 5.5 gens had a knock sensor or cps sensor recall (I'd have to look). Be a good idea to research recalls for you year and have the dealer verify if they had been done.

The dealership did clear the codes. I will be replacing the knock sensor. Hopefully they can advance the timing afterwards. Does anyone have a recommendation for a device that can check/clear/advance timing? I don't think Cipher or Bullydog work on the 5th gen maxima, only the 5.5 gen maxima. Seems like the Greddy Emanage Ultimate is the only option for the 5th gen maxima?

2.) I have 4 codes, and have had up to 6, and it can advance it, of course it might be depending on the codes. 138 and 139 are O2 sensor codes, not sure what 325 is.
They tried that BS with me when I went in long ago, "can't do it because codes". I left like a bat out of hell. Went back a little calmer, and they did it, regardless of the codes, but mine were 4 primary O2 sensor codes.

We are saying Cipher wont let you advance it until it's at operating temp, after that, it will always be at that, no matter the ECT.
Same with idle.

i didnt write that correctly lol,
my car sat outside my shop all day, then rolled 5 feet into a shop next door, they advanced it with cypher, timing was bumped to 17 degree's from 15 degree's when it wasnt at operating temp. i did check it after he was done with my generic scan tool and it was at 17 degrees, so somehow he did do it when it wasnt at op. temp.
hmm.. cuz that does make sence that it would have to be at operating temps to change it.. and why the FSM asks u to warm the car up to op. temps befor doing any self diagnosis.

So Cipher does work for the 5th gen Maxima then? I haven't installed the new knock sensor yet. Still trying to find a write up on how to remove the Intake Manifold to get to it. Then I'll go back to the dealership again to see if they can advance the timing. Man, wished there was someone with CIPHER here in the Midwest that could do it for me.

17 is basically the safest...there shouldn't be a loss in gas mileage unless you find yourself with a heavier foot than before. But really, the timing advance is probably good for 1-2hp at most?

You cannot advance higher than 17º, Consult wont allow it. Seems as if you have more problems than just your timing is off.
I change mine from 13-17 and there's not much difference. Maybe a slight difference in throttle response, and the idle changes slightly.
