Where/ how do I connect the red and black wire... I know the red goes to the cigar fuse but where does the black go?

I cut off the connector on the cigarette plug and then connected red wire to orange (it looked orange, might be red) and then the black wire to the black wire there

You can also just tape the black wire to a metal surface behind the dash if its easier. (I taped mine to the mounting brackets for the HVAC unit.)

I did that for the ground on my switch. Sadly I used gorilla tape to hold it down and all this heat we have been having made the tape come undone haha it SUCKED.

I'll post a picture of my lights later, Im on my phone and can't do attachments

I got the LEDglow 35$ eBay pack and want to connect them to my battery but don't want to go through the door to the engine.. Is there a grommet leading to the engine bay that's under the steering wheel?

Thats gonna be a real stretch I'm not sure if the wiring that comes with the kit is long enough to reach the battery. Why not just use the cigarette lighter or a fuse?

Yeah good point.

Just tape the ground to some piece of steel somewhere close and wrap the power around the cigarettle lighter center.

No need to be sarcastic. My ground isn't wired like that anymore anyways its done properly now. Both wires are properly spliced to the positive and negative wires behind the cigarette lighter, and I'm suggesting he does the same.

Only chance for redemption from me is you posting a picture of your handiwork for examination.

Just pop up the shifter trim and you'll see the wires and connector that lead to the power outlet. Tap into those wires.

Go out and take out my shifter trim and take pictures for the approval of the intarnetz? Sorry but I'm a bit lazy for that right now. I guess you'll have to take my word for it.

You probably already know this OP, but make sure that you tape your wiring up well (mostly when you're connecting the wires to the switch) and don't use sh*tty duct tape like I did haha. Buy some vinyl electrical tape from walmart, i think it was around $5? It sucks when you put your trim and everything back, and then the wires come undone and you have to remove everything.

What color did you go with by the way? and post pics when you're done :O

I got the eBay one that had 7 different colors and it's already into a switch (controller) I just have to splice it to the power plug thing.

Always disconnect the battery when doing stuff like this. And yes, red to red, black to black.

If you dont disconnect the battery, you will get the shock of your life. Not fun.

If you dont get the wires right, they just wont work, no harm done. just disconnect and switch the wires around.

Just grab the 10mm wrench and loosen it a couple times, then grab the cable and move it out. Easy. Just always disconnect the negative first, but you won't need to remove the positive.
