I've got a 2001 max, so I don't have the HIDs. But I want to get a brighter bulb. Will the PIAA H4s work or are they for the HIDs? Do these things just pop in and out?

straight plug in..... nothing special needed

 

Xtreme White if you want brightness and Super Plasmas if you want the
purple/blueish tint on the light. They are also bright, the plasmas,
but not as bright as the Xtreme White.

You can also install HIDs in your 2k1 Max, but they are very expensive
