2000 nissan maxima gas pedel hard to press
Hi.. I have a 2000 Nissan maxima when I got in the car tonight the gas pedel was very hard to press car would move and drive but gas pedel really not going down or moved that much. Any help with information on what could be happening or how to fix would be appreciative. Thank you

You have to figure out exactly what part is binding. I would start by disconnecting the gas pedal and cruise control cables from the throttle body and see if the throttle body opens and closes easily and smoothly. If throttle body is OK, then check the gas pedal. Leave the cable disconnected from the throttle body and disconnect the cable at the gas pedal. See if the gas pedal moves freely. If it does, then the cable is probably corroded in its sheath.

The 2000 Maxima has 2 manuals. Early production and late production. Look at the last 8 digits of your VIN. Early production is VINs up to YT0 12236, YT2 11680, YT5 27429, or YT7 40491. These cars use the manual listed as the 2000 manual.
If your VIN is higher than the numbers above, then download the 2000.5 manual.
