Hey Guys,

My driver's side door is aligned lower than it should be. Whenever I close it, the door hits lower than it should, and then snaps up into its correct location. I know this happens a lot with older cars (happened with my last car, a 95 altima). I found an article, outlining a process to fix this involving removing the fender, unbolting the door, re-aligning, and then rebolting. I don't believe I have the skills or tools to do that. Is there a more efficient way of fixing this issue, aimed at people who don't have the resources to remove the fender?

Hinges are worn out. Get new hinges. Replace. Done deal. Cant think of any other way even if you wanted to stuff it with newspapers to macguyver it (wth?)

 

Search there is a easy fix

 

put one or two washers on the bottom bolt of the door hinge. Search and it really is a 75 cent solution.

 

I had the same problem. washers work perfect. It takes 10 min to do.

 

I had the same problem so I did the washer thing at it doesnt sag as much anymore but now it still doesnt close right. I have to shut it harder then any of the other doors so is it possible that the latch inside the door is damaged from it being sagging and closing incorrectly all these years?
