Help diagnosing battery/electrical issue!
Hey guys, so I purchased a new car a little while ago, and each time i've tried to sell the old one (2000 SE) something has kept me from it. Long story short, battery died.
It got drained to the point where jumping the car wasn't enough. When connected to the live car the door chime worked, door lights worked, and the odometer half lit up.
I tried trickle charging for 8 hours, and while the battery sparked upon installation and the door lights came on (no chime), the first attempt to start drained whatever charge the battery had.
I used a trickle charger for 2 days which started the car, but something came up and I couldn't leave the car on to charge the battery.
I tried again to trickle charge the battery, and then it got jacked off my porch.
I purchased a new battery, and it didn't even sound like it was enough to get the starter going. I tried jumping through the new battery, and also trickle charging it with no avail.
It just seems like no matter what I try, it's not getting the initial jolt that it needs to bring it back to life. Like it's close, just never enough. Any thoughts guys? Id really love to sell this car soon!

Have you checked the other end of your connections + and -? Make sure the bolt on the starter is very tight as well as where the - grounds to the block. Also inspect the wires all the way down for anything that looks like a bad wire, melted wire, etc.
