Hesitation/bog?

Today i noticed that my car under a load today seems to bog/jerk ( might not be the correct word to use). Its a 2002 GLE with 57000 miles. Car has Kinghtxyz intake, megan catback, and nwp vias block.

I took off as normal and it shifted to second well the road open up and i was going to open it up a bit, as i did and the rpms started rising between 3500 and 5500 it seems like it hesitated. Like a slight loss in power and then it would pick it back up and so forth. Best way to describe the power -> it felt like it was on a sin wave. It wasnt a big loss but certainly enough to notice.

I have never experienced this before. I dunno if it was under too much load with the AC or whether it is an issue i need to address.

Any advice?

Sorry if the explanation is not clear.

To clarify, I am understanding that it's hesitating followed by surging acceleration, and that it's recurring and only after 3,500 rpm, and stops after 5,500 rpm and accelerates normally.

Sounds like a MAFS honestly. But could be plugs, or maybe coils. You're going to need to be prepared to do quite a bit of testing to figure out exactly what's wrong.

Pretty much, i dont know if it would continue past 5500 because my turn was coming up and I left off.

I drove the car today and pushed it a bit harder and didnt notice anything but id still like to figure out what it was.

Im going to do plugs probably next weekend since my 60k is coming up. Im also going to clean the MAF. Drain and fill the transmission.

I also thought maybe it was the transmission slipping, or possibly confused as to downshift or not.
