2000 SE 5 Speed - Ques

Considering a 2000 SE 5 speed.
Drove it Sat. and thought it was nice.
The clutch was smooth and easy until about 2/3's of the way down and then it got stiff.
Is that typical?
Have a 92 SE 5 speed and the cluch feels the same the whole way down.

Any other things I need to know about the 2000's??
Thanks, and yes I did search.

My 5 speed takes about 20 minutes to warm up in the morning. The clutch seems to slip a little until it is warmed up. Other than that....it seems to be a pretty good car to get in standard trim.

Yeah that was somewhat typical on my old clutch, but when getting something else looked at nissan they found i needed a new clutch.(The owner before me completly screwed it up) It was slipping really bad, but i got a new clutch now and its pretty stiff, but is now starting to loosen up a little. If your concerned have your local dealer check it out

Just curious, but about how much would an aftermarket clutch installation cost for a 2000+ Max?

Thanx

Cheaper than an OEM one. Check out www.eatricezone.com

Thanks...But what I really wanted to know was how much can I expect an aftermarket clutch + installation (complete job) to be? I just wanted to know much to save
