Is this a Good Trade?

I have a 2000 Gold Infiniti i30 with 113k miles and I have a possible trade for a 2001 Black Nissan Maxima (Fully Loaded) with 91k miles. Both in great condition.

What do you think? What should I look for?

Based off that information alone, I'd be very hesitant. Essentially the same car, except the other guy is willing to take a model 1 yr older and 20k more miles???? My first thought would be, "What's wrong with his Maxima that makes him willing to downgrade?" Obviously there is something...

I'm gonna have to agree with that. I was thinking about that. The only appeal is that the Max is black on black and volume controls on the steering wheel, but outside of that...nothing that much.

Fully loaded, as in heated seats, side impact air bags? Is it manual or auto?

I thought that the steering wheel volume controls started with the 2002 model.

I've seen 00 & 01s with it. But it could be a mod.

You might be right but outside of the black on black, I'm not too impressed with the trade. That and the lower milage. I gotta test it out though.

Id hang on to your infiniti bud. if its a good car and treated you well, why take the risk of trading it off for something that could end up being a money pit?

my .02

If it looks to good to be true... Well you know the rest. Keep your car.

It does look a little too good to be true. Well I'll see what's good with it, but i don't think I'll push through.

I wouldn't call it too good to be true. I'd trade my max for an infiniti.. one year older and 20k more miles? I think everyone here knows that's basically negligible with these cars. I'd do it simply because I want an infiniti. Probably the same reason he would do it.
