Horn changed volume and pitch

Was driving hit the horn and noticed that it sounded weird. It was lower (sounded that way inside the car although standing outside it was still loud just not as loud) and higher pitched.
Any ideas it happened all of a sudden.

On a side note anybody have any ideas how to clean carb and choke cleaner off the carpet in my trunk. It spilled and the fumes are pretty strong. I took out the carpet and scrubbed it with multiple household cleaners and let it dry in the sun. It still stinks.

Maybe something is in the horn and causing the tone to change? Or maybe the voltage changed somehow?

Could be a bad connection. Check and clean the connections on the horn, or one of the horns has died.

DAlastDon thanks for that. I searched and that did not come up. coould it have been caused from the leaking PSF from my high pressure hose which was just changed?

I also think that, most likely, one of the two horns has died. Happened to me a couple of years ago.

Just unplug one of the horns and give it a toot. That should tell you.

I'm not sure he'll be able to tell if he only has one working horn.

bennuss, the horn with the high note is the smaller one sitting behind the front grill, in front of radiator. The larger one, sitting between the coolant reservoir and the timing chain cover, is the low note.
