cluster swap??

newb here, just wondering if a gauge cluster from 2002-2003 maxima will fit in the 2000 maxima model? I know the 2002-2003 clusters have the temp in the cluster instead of down by the climate control and that's what i want

thanks

it will fit but I doubt the cluster would work properly. I'm guessing you don't have auto climate control? It has the AMB button that will show you the outside temp. There is a write-up on how to change from manual to auto on the org, just search for it. It is more than just swapping the units though.

You can make it work, yet, but it's way more involved than you want to know. Not trying to discourage you, but it's just a LOT of messing around and wiring, and I don't think there's any DIY on it, not sure if anyone's ever bothered doing it, kind of a pointless modification.

You want to change the whole thing out just so you can have the AMB temp in your cluster instead of on the ACC unit? That's insane dude.

I all requires rewiring of the harness which is a ***** no matter what. Especially if you lose track of anything.
