2000 Heated seat upgrade??? among other related upgrades....

Hi there folks, just curious to see if my 2k max gxe can be ugraded with heated seats, i just checked my original brochure and an option for the comfort and convenience package -which mine has- shows that you can get heated outside mirrors and heated seats only with that option. I pulled apart the center console -where the heated seat switches would normally go- and found 2 unused plugs, come to find out from schematics that those plugs are related to the heated seats.....this package also calls for a low washer fluid level warning indicator thats optional.....any ideas if it can be upgraded to heated seats???? thanks!

Someone made an article on how to add the lower washer fluid level: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/259701...maxima/page-13. You have to order a sensor from Nissan. I already got one from www.nissanpartsasap.com (Tri-Cities Nissan in Johnson, TN) It would be cool to add the heated seats +mirrors. I haven't seen anything about that on here, tho.

Low washer fluid level = engage washer fluid, if nothing comes out, its low.

it's not hard to add heated seats, just time consuming. I've done it years ago with an Accord. Find a GLE or SE in the junkyard with heated seats and grab the seats and switches, then run your own wiring & relay etc.

There is no relay that has to be added for heated seats. But you might have to install fuse #9, 10 amps. Fuse 9 is in the top row, 3rd from the right.

The plug for the heated seat switch has 4 wires.
pin 1 - green/red stripe (12 volts)
pin 2 - gray
pin 3 - gray/red stripe
pin 4 - black ground)

First thing I did on my (wifes) 00' was add heated seats for my wife. Bought a $75 CF Ebay heated seat kit and some $10 switches at local junkyard. Added #9 fuse and off we went with heated seats. No wiring relays or anything - all maximas are prewired for them.
